BYO – Bring Your Own Plastic

What started as a small office initiative, has turned into a world-wide annual campaign to encourage people to give up single-use plastics for the month of July. (Basically it’s what’s Dry January is to alcohol, but for plastic!)

Up to 12million tonnes of plastic ends up in the sea every year – the equivalent of a full rubbish lorry every minute! Unfortunately, although plastic is a useful product, many of these products are created for single-use – with an estimated 50 per cent of plastic used once and thrown away.

Whether you want to try and completely give up plastic for July or not, this is a great time to think about the little ways we can all cut down on waste, and a perfect time to introduce our new campaign BYO – Bring Your Own.

BYO- Bring Your own

It’s not just a matter of doing the right thing for the future of our seas; it’s about doing the right thing for our customers and your customers.

Therefore if you place an order for ANY of our BYO items listed below by the 31st August 2018, we will make a donation worth 2% of the total order value to The Marine Conversation Society.

The Marine Conservation Society is the UK’s leading charity for the protection of our seas, shores and wildlife. For over thirty years MCS has been the voice for the sea for all the fascinating creatures that live beneath the waves, for our breath-taking coastal environment, for all those who make a sustainable living from the sea and for everyone who simply enjoys visiting the beach and our glorious coastline.
